Ujjwal works as a “Partner Consultant” at Microsoft, India. He has over 8.5 years of full time software industry experience. He is with Microsoft for last five years and mainly works on C++, C#, F#, Windows Internals, Windows Mobile/Phone7, Microsoft Robotics Studio, XNA and Microsoft Cloud Computing (Windows Azure). In the past he has extensively worked on image processing and document imaging. In the current role, he assists partners and customers by providing architecture, design guidance. He also assist them in adoption of latest technologies from Microsoft. He has written over 50 technical, knowledge based articles and solution objects which are published on Microsoft’s internal, external websites and magazines. He is a frequent speaker and has delivered over 35+ external technical talks to various technical professionals and engineering college faculty members and students. He has also written eight research papers, published at Microsoft and received accolades from eminent researchers and leaders at Microsoft, including Bill Gates. Apart from his core job he has mentored and guided over 20 final year engineering students in their software and game development projects and technical paper presentations. His interests lies in computer science research focused on artificial intelligence, computational creativity, robotics, game development and Natural User Interface. When he is not working, he likes to read, do research and evangelize Microsoft development technologies. He has a bachelor’s degree in “Information Technology” and a “Higher National Diploma” in computing from Edexcel, UK. He also completed a proficiency course in “Artificial Intelligence” from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
